3 Part Yoga and Food Workshop:

 The three Thursday evening sessions will be held at: 6:30 - 8 pm on:

Thursday, March 8, Thursday, March 15, and Thursday, March 29

The series will be taught by Maheshwar (Rick) @ Divine Indwelling Lakulish Center, Barberton

Maheshwars' teacher, Swami Ashutosh Muni, spent his first twenty years teaching on just this single topic alone.

In yoga, how one eats is huge. The food we eat and how we eat it has everything to do with our well-being - physical, mental, and even spiritual.

Together we will make an inquiry into:

- A yogic/energy oriented diet 

- Living Foods/Super Foods 

- Investigating each individual's "dosha" (each individual's unique constitution)

- How to apply simple and profound truths to how we eat, when we eat, where we eat, why we eat.

 

Cost:  $55 for the three weekday sessions,

          $45 for monthly-pass holders/seniors,

          $20 per single session 

  (young people/college students askabout our reduced rates)

A Day Retreat Featuring the Lakulish Posture Series

Postures as they are taught nowhere else in America... 

We aim to teach postures (asana) properly at Sacred Ground.

When asana is done properly it profoundly effects our 

entire being - physical, mental, energetic, spiritual. Way more 

than a unique trick or feat of physical strength! 

 

These postures are hand picked by Maheshwar's teacher,

Swami Ashutosh Muni, as some of the most powerful and 

essential asanas known to the yoga world.

 

In the process of studying these heaven sent asanas we will:

- investigate the meaning and purpose of yogic postures

- investigate the how to's of each individual posture

- investigate the benefits of each individual posture

- practice each posture and make any necessary modifications

- touch upon the Body/Mind/Energy/Soul Connection

 

A personal note from Maheshwar (Rick):

   Winter is a great time for cleaning cabinets and tending to other

things left aside during the busy activity of Summer and Fall. It is also

a great time to take in the quiet of Winter. A great time to take care

of unfinished business within ourselves. A great time to lay down some

tracks; to set in motion some healthy, joy-bringing habits. We can join

Mother Nature and make this time deeply restful and restorative. 

Winter sometimes can provide that Perfect Storm that stops the hurried 

momentum of our lives. 

    Winter is a great time for workshops and teaching that will inspire 

and support each of us as we keep taking our yoga practice into our everyday

life! Along with our regular yoga classes, we will be taking time to 

consider Meditation and Food. Big, big considerations in Yoga. After all, you 

are what you eat. Please consider joining Sacred Ground as we keep going

deeper into the understanding of who we are!

     Winter in a past life for me was just something to survive.

Lord knows I spent enough lifetimes hunkering down in the Siberian

Tundra and surviving it on root vegetables, a daily samovar of

Black Russian tea, and plenty of vodka. Wow, do I feel fortunate in 

this lifetime. I get to live in sunny, warm, Ohio. And Yoga is arriving.

Nothing will Ever be the same. If my Soul decides it has to come back,

I am hoping to encourage it now with yoga. So maybe it will

choose to live in some simple hut on the beach, at the Bay of Bendaras,

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I will teach yoga and create a line of health

conscious, low carb/low glycemic muffins. 

      Why wait till the next time to run into each other again for yoga and

muffins. How about joining me in this life!
