THURSDAY EVENING MEDITATION WORKSHOP
Meditation Retreat
Have you wanted to set aside time for meditation, yet need the time and place? Experience an afternoon of peaceful meditation for first timers or meditation experts. Includes a how to segment, meditation time, a light meal, and a visit to a local park. The day concludes with Satsang, 6:30 - 8:30pm.
Come experience Sabbath Sadhana at Sacred Ground Yoga in Portage Lakes from 8-11:30 am. Many individuals have requested Rick to offer a Sunday experience, so... in response we offer a Sunday morning yoga experience. This mini-retreat experience is offered the 1st Sunday of each month and provides a spiritual practice opportunity in a yogic environment. The cost for this mini-retreat is $20.00 (students $10) at the door, and includes a light breakfast, chanting, meditation, yoga nidra
and a yogic teaching on a variety of topics.
ALL levels of practice and experience are invited!
Advanced Posture Workshop:
This workshop is for those considering a more vigorous practice. Even if you take this course and decide you are not yet ready to attend the advanced classes, it will benefit you and admit you into future advanced classes. We will cover some advanced postures and breathing techniques not included in our beginner's series. Each posture (asana) will be reviewed and practiced with detail to alignment along with an explanation of its benefits. Breathing techniques and their benefits will also be presented along with a brief background of our yogic heritage and mantra (chanting).
Cost: $35 / $20 seniors & students
$20 refresher fee for those that have already taken this workshop
Pre-register at the front desk or call 330-807-7036 with any questions. Dress comfortably as you would any yoga class. Bring yoga mat, pillow to sit on, notebook etc. A light healthy snack will be provided along with a posture guide.
The 5 Tibetans: TBA*
Come and learn about this ancient and effective 5 pose daily practice - you will learn the poses and theory behind their use. Modified for All levels! Bring your yoga mat, pillow, blanket.
Sun Salutation Workshop: TBA*
Sun Salutation is a classical asana practice providing a well-rounded series of postures to bring about optimal health & a significant flow of life energy - Prana. This workshop will discuss each of the poses, correct alignment and the many physical and energetic benefits of doing this practice daily.
Yoga Nidra TBA*
A transformative meditation technique designed to eliminate self-defeating behaviors which prevent us from finding joy and peace in our lives.
Pranayama TBA*
Advanced techniques of breath work, designed to quiet the mind and relax the body.
